UX is in everything we do

Day by day, we go through countless experiences — some frustrating, some seamless, some we barely notice. I’ve always found it fascinating that a single detail can turn confusion into clarity, or frustration into ease. That sense of discovery is what drew me to UX, and it’s what keeps me curious every time I sit down to solve a problem.

Nice to meet you

Hi, my name is Jihad Bryant, a UX Designer, based in the Chicago area. I work with all kinds to design intuitive and meaningful experiences that everyday people can enjoy. Great design starts with understanding the problem. Which means that every decision I make is guided by curiosity, strategy, and a focus on the real people. This ensures the solutions that I create aren’t just visually appealing, but they actually work.

  • Strategy-First

A clear understanding of goals and challenges. I break down the problems into core components before designing.

  • User-Centered Design

I make my process revolve around real users. I ensure they’re easy to navigate and will solve their core problems, making their lives simpler.

  • Creative Problem-Solving

I embrace challenges and think creatively to develop innovative and thoughtful solutions.

  • Collaboration

I love collaborating with other team members to iterate and refine ideas to ensure our final product fits both the user needs and the business goals of the project.

My UX Journey

I’ve always been more creative than the average person, and that curiosity has guided my path ever since. I started at Bradley University, studying game design, and spent my freshman year exploring digital worlds and interactive storytelling. But after a year, I realized my true passion was somewhere else.

That’s when I discovered UX design, and it honestly checked every box I’d been looking for. At first, it was scary; UX was a whole new domain I’d never been part of. But like most challenges in UX, running away wasn’t an option. Instead, I leaned into creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving to navigate the unknown.

Over the past three years, I’ve worked diligently to think outside the box and refine both my creativity and UX skills. Every project I take on is an opportunity to learn, experiment, and design experiences that are intuitive, human-centered, and meaningful.

Off the Clock

When I’m not designing, I spend quiet time working on personal projects, reading whatever interests me, or recharging at the gym with a good workout. The quiet helps me stay focused and energized, but when I need some social interaction, I love hanging out with my friends–whether that’s gaming together or grabbing a bite to eat. It’s always a fun time, no matter what.

When I’m not doing any of that, you can find me watching cartoons. I love cartoons, especially early 2000s-2010. I’ve watched them so much that I’ve built up a trivia-like memory bank. These cartoons aren’t just good for watching, but they also sparked creativity and pushed me to think outside the box. They remind me to approach problems with curiosity and imagination, and sometimes inspire me with ideas for my work.
